    Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises Center, in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monsha'at", organized a workshop that reviewed the draft guide to operating stores, at the Chamber's headquarters in Dammam.

    The Specialist Ibrahim Al-Morished from "Monsha'at" said during the workshop that was held on Wednesday, August 18, 2022, that the authority aims, through the project, to expand the scope of support and encouragement of the business sector in the activities of the retail sector, by preparing electronic guides and training bags for 20 targeted exercises in the project To cover all the information, requirements and detailed operating procedures for each activity, according to the needs of the relevant authorities from the public and private sectors, in support of business owners in the post-launch stage in a manner that ensures their achievement of competitiveness and business sustainability.

    Al-Morished said that the project contributes to motivating business owners to enter into the activities of the retail sector and contribute to the domestic product, documenting the necessary procedures for investment and starting various activities in the retail sector, and creating a homogeneous and attractive work environment for workers in the retail sector.

    Al-Morished explained that the sector faces many challenges that limit its development and development in the required manner, including: the multiplicity of legislators and regulators of this sector, the lack of a clear vision and procedural sequence to obtain permits to engage in these activities, and the different operational processes for each activity, which increases the difficulty of the investor’s entry activity, in addition to the absence of cumulative experience to know how to work, continuity and competition in it, in addition to the presence of some erroneous practices and the exploitation of some links in the value chain of the sector starting from the establishment to the operation, so it was directed to build a guide for the retail sector where the guide focuses on the most commercial activities Contribution to the gross domestic product and the fastest growing and market entry, noting that the electronic evidence includes information, government procedures and relevant authorities related to the activity that the business sector needs to enter the sector, such as the requirements of the activity and the various work procedures to operate the activity, supported by files that help the merchant to establish his activity as a feasibility study model A business plan and business-related advice gathered from business owners’ experiences beach.​
